More places in kindergartens and a discount voucher from the Rector for preschool care for children of employees and students of the University of Gdańsk – this is how the school year began for parents connected with our university. The inauguration of the year took place in the newly established Positive Public Kindergarten No. 11 in Gdańsk-Oliwa.
‘Pro-family activities result from educational cooperation between the university and the Positive Initiatives Foundation. We are partnered not only in running a general secondary school or a kindergarten in Polanki Street but also a kindergarten and a nursery in Oliwa, where our students and employees will be able to find a place for their children and, at the same time, benefit from a discount voucher,’ said the Rector of the UG, prof. Piotr Stepnowski, at the opening of the facility.
The new kindergarten is located in a beautiful green area in Oliwa, at 28 Wąsowicza Street, in close proximity to the University of Gdańsk.
The establishment of this facility means increased accessibility to public preschool care places not only for the residents of Oliwa but also those connected with the University of Gdańsk: staff and students.
‘Oliwa is becoming an educational and academic district, and we are pleased to find synergy and partnership, which is strategic for us today. We want to thank you for the cooperation that has already lasted for many years – we hope it will continue to develop,’ said prof. Piotr Stepnowski.
The facility’s official opening took place on September 4 at 8.30 a.m. 100 young Gdańskers will find care here. The kindergarten still has free places available.
