Series of feature stories ‘Social responsibility of the University of Gdańsk in Pomerania region’ launches

On 30 November 2020, at 10 am, ‘Social responsibility of the University of Gdańsk in Pomerania region’ series began screening. The first episode depicts UG researchers addressing their fight against the coronavirus, a current and significant topic.

The official UG Facebook profile and UG Youtube channel will be showing 7 episodes of the series until the end of December 2020. The series shows the dedication of University of Gdańsk researchers (representing various disciplines) to improving the quality of life of Pomerania region inhabitants, environment protection, including the Baltic Sea, as well as fostering the cultural heritage of the region.

Next episodes will present the state of research on SARS-CoV-2, social aspects of remote work, status and role of women in science. The series will also touch upon the subjects of climate change, Baltic fauna and flora protection, regional traditions, including the Kashubian heritage, archeological findings, or a recently successful strategic computer game ‘Waterworks!’.

The project is carried out by the UG Film and Documentary Production Centre, in cooperation with the UG Institutional Promotion Office. SAUR Neptun Gdańsk partners in the project.
