Prof. Dorota Pyć and prof. Adam Wiśniewski becoming members of the Legal Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The ceremony of appointing new members of the Legal Committee, selected from among theoreticians and practitioners of international law representing Polish academic and scientific centres, took place during the Committee's inaugural meeting on March 11, this year.

The appointment letters to the 15 new members of the Advisory Legal Committee to the Minister of Foreign Affairs were handed in by Deputy Minister Henryka Mościcka-Dendys. Among the appointed members are representatives of the University of Gdańsk: Head of the Department of Maritime Law dr hab. Dorota Pyć, prof. UG and Head of the Department of Public International Law dr hab. Adam Wisniewski, prof. UG.

The role of the Committee is to carry out analyses and to draw up opinions and legal opinions in the field of international law, as well as European Union law.
