Prominent scientists from all over the world will gather in Gdańsk for the International Workshop on Advanced Spectroscopy and Optical Materials (IWASOM) conference. From July 7 to July 12, researchers will present the latest findings on advanced spectroscopic methods in physics, chemistry, and materials engineering.

Topics at the IWASOM conference include revolutionary technologies used in the optoelectronics and lighting industries, advanced methods for creating optical materials, nanomaterials and metamaterials used in lighting technology, photovoltaics, diagnostics, and medical therapy.

Students and young researchers will also speak at the eighth edition of IWASOM. The event is co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as part of the competition 'Excellent Science II - Support for scientific conferences', thanks to which students and doctoral students received discounts on the conference fee and the possibility of free accommodation. Also new is a special programme of tutorial lectures by distinguished scholars, covering advanced topics in spectroscopy and materials science.
