Join us for the Clean Lakes Festival in Borucino

Why is water green? What is golden algae? Does the lake have a history? The answers to these and other questions will be known to the participants of the 1st Clean Lakes Festival organised by the Centre for Monitoring and Protection of Waters at the University of Gdańsk.

 

The event will take place on 31 July from 11:00 to 17:00 at the Centre for Monitoring and Protection of Waters of the UG in Borucino. In addition to the lectures, the organisers have planned numerous attractions for the whole family.
The event aims to raise public awareness of the functioning of aquatic ecosystems and to promote good practices in lake protection. The event is aimed at representatives of government and local government institutions, entrepreneurs, tourists and residents. The meeting will include lectures, self-presentations by exhibitors and educators, as well as workshops and games for children,’ says the Head of the Centre for Monitoring and Protection of Waters, prof. dr hab. inż Julita Dunalska.

Closing of the Festival

 

There will be attractions during the presentations, including underwater drones, a demonstration of water quality measuring equipment, aquariums with fish, divers' demonstrations, fishing competitions, a performance by the Circle of Exceptional Housewives and others. Refreshments will be available for guests throughout the festival.
