No idea for a Christmas present? This is a good opportunity to visit one of the Christmas fairs at the University of Gdańsk! You will be able to get your hands on some unique handicrafts made in support institutions for adults with disabilities.
You will be able to visit the Christmas markets at selected faculties of the University of Gdańsk from November 25 to December 7 and additionally on December 11:
- November 25-29 - Faculty of Languages;
- December 2-7 and December 11 - Faculty of Social Sciences.
All items - e.g. Christmas cards, paintings, wooden and ceramic ornaments - are created as part of rehabilitation activities related to art therapy by the charges of organisations such as:
- Social Welfare Home for the Intellectually Disabled (Gdańsk)
- Occupational Therapy Workshop run by the Polish Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Gdańsk)
- Occupational Therapy Workshops run by the Association for the Deaf and Blind (Gdańsk)
- Occupational Therapy Workshop ‘TRATWA’
- Occupational Therapy Workshop run by the Foundation for Ecological Education and Health Promotion (Gdańsk)
- ‘SPRAWNI INACZEJ’ Foundation (Gdańsk)
The handicrafts also include works by artists cooperating with the above-mentioned facilities.
The fairs can be visited between 8.00 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.
