The broadcast of the concert entitled 'Łąki na Jedwabnym Szlaku' (TN: Meadows on the Silk Road), with the wishes of Fan Xiaodong, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Gdańsk on the occasion of the Chinese New Year for the community of the University of Gdańsk, will be available on Thursday, February 11, on the university's website.
Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, is the most important festival celebrated by the Chinese for many generations. It is a movable holiday falling on February 12, this year according to the lunar calendar. The patron of 2021 is the buffalo symbolising hard and systematic work. New Year's traditions include fireworks and fireworks displays, family gatherings and decorating homes and streets with red lanterns.
