This Thursday, March 20, 2025, the University of Gdańsk will celebrate its 55th anniversary with a ceremonial meeting of the University Senate.
During the ceremony, which will take place in the Main Library of the University of Gdańsk, the Professor Karol Taylor Scientific Awards of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk and the Krzysztof Celestyn Mrongowiusz ‘Teacher of the Year’ Awards will be presented.
An important part of this year's University of Gdańsk Day celebrations will be the awarding of an honorary doctorate from the University of Gdańsk to prof. dr hab. Piotr Hofmański and a lecture by the professor. The event will be graced by a performance by the Academic Choir of the University of Gdańsk.
For organisational reasons, direct participation in the ceremony at the University of Gdańsk Library is by invitation only.
