Are you a student of Film and Audiovisual Culture or Audiovisual Production? Would you like to realise your idea, but are held back by a lack of funds? Take part in the competition for funding for student films in the 2025/2026 academic year and reach for your dreams. What conditions must be met and what formalities must be completed in order to participate? You will find out during an information meeting to be held on 8 January at 4 p.m. in lecture hall 1.43 at the Faculty of Languages and History of the University of Gdańsk.
Renting film and lighting equipment, fees for actors, operators, composers, purchasing props and set design materials, post-production: editing, sound, colour correction - all of this costs money. In order for students not to have to compromise on quality at the beginning of their careers, but to gain experience and develop their skills in film production and audiovisual culture, a competition was created to support them in the realisation of their film projects.
The competition for funding for student films in the 2025/2026 academic year is open to first and second cycle students of the University of Gdańsk studying Film and Audiovisual Culture or Audiovisual Production.
Each student may submit only one application for the realisation of their original idea.
The application must be accompanied by:
- a script,
- visual references,
- a schedule and crew list,
- a cost estimate,
- portfolios of the director, screenwriter, cinematographer and editor, together with their signed GDPR declarations,
- the production manager's CV with a signed GDPR declaration.
Applications for funding must be submitted by 30 January. Before applying for the competition, we encourage you to read the rules and regulations, which contain all the details.
We also invite you to an information meeting for interested parties, which will take place on 8 January at 4 p.m. in room 1.43 in the building of the Faculty of Languages and the Faculty of History at the University of Gdańsk.
