Applications for the Fahrenheit Synergy Programme can be submitted until 25 April. Under this programme, research groups from the Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology, and the University of Gdańsk can secure funding for a project worth up to 750,000 PLN.

Teams consisting of three research groups are eligible to apply for a grant, provided that:

  • each group operates at a different university (MUG, GdańskTech, UG),
  • each group is led by a member of staff employed at one of these universities as their primary place of work.
What are the criteria for evaluating applications?

Key criteria for evaluating applications:

  • the academic achievements of the research group leaders (including scientific publications, patents, completed research projects) - maximum 10 points,
  • research plan (scientific impact, impact of the research on the socio-economic environment, interdisciplinary dimension, impact of the research on the individual development of team members, synergy resulting from collaboration between research groups) - maximum 20 points.

Additional points may be awarded for proposals demonstrating the project’s alignment with the National Smart Specialisation (KIS), which defines priority areas within research, development and innovation (R&D&I). The current version (effective from 13 February 2023) is available both on the government website of the Ministry of Development and Technology and on the official NIS website (www.smart.gov.pl).
