- 'We are very pleased that, in spite of the accompanying turbulence, we managed to publish another, eleventh, issue of Student Notebooks. This would not have been possible without the students, who in order to share their interests and knowledge sent in their papers and then patiently added comments made by reviewers in the blind-review system, contributing in effect to raising the substantive value of the publication. It is worth noting that sometimes the e-mail contact between the editors and the authors was very intensive. There is no doubt that these first publication steps are new experiences for the authors and it cannot be ruled out that they will not only be an important part of their studies but may also result in further scientific work, which we sincerely wish the authors,' - we read in the foreword from the Editorial Office of Students' Notebooks 'Our Studies'.

The articles of issue 11 are divided into five parts. The first one concerns the directions of socio-economic development (one can read, among others, about the Asian development model and possibilities of its application by developing countries or the influence of the fiscal and income policy on the dynamics of economic growth in Romania in the years 2004-2019), the second one was devoted to economic aspects of sustainable development (among the articles, among others, The influence of a closed-circle economy on the implementation of the sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda or The significance of renewable energy sources in the national energy system). The functioning of small and medium-sized businesses is the subject of the third part (we will read here about the SME sector or instruments of support for entrepreneurs by particular economies in times of pandemics). In the fourth part, there are articles on the labour market (the topics include Social responsibility of enterprises in the context of the labour market or Work as a factor of integration of persons with disabilities in the conditions of the SARS-COV-2 virus epidemic), in the fifth one - practical aspects of logistics (here we can read about ticketing methods as a pre-transaction element of logistic customer service or the seaport as an element of the land-sea transport chain on the example of the Port of Gdańsk).

The periodical, published by the University of Gdańsk Development Foundation, has been published continuously since 2003. From 2011 to 2017 the primary version of the journal was the paper version, while from issue 9/2019 the primary version of the journal became the online version. The front cover of the journal traditionally features the figures of the authors who participated in the MS Teams meeting in May 2021 at the University of Gdańsk venue.
