Announcement of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk on the organisation of classes in the winter semester 2021/2022

To Whom It May Concern,

The academic community of the University of Gdańsk consists of 21,000 students and doctoral students as well as over three thousand scientific-educational and administrative staff. Given the still existing epidemic threat, it is important for everyone to feel safe at our University. Therefore, the University has prepared the classes in the new academic year in such a way that, while taking care of the health of the members of our community, it was possible to implement the curricula and maintain a high quality of education. The basic rules have been set out in Order No. 116/R/21 of August 4, 2021, while the attached list provides the rules for organising classes at individual faculties. Detailed plans will be posted on faculty pages and may change during the semester as the epidemic situation changes. Decisions concerning the implementation of classes in remote or stationary form result from the learning outcomes specified in the curriculum, the size of the rooms available to the faculty, and the need to comply with relevant regulations governing sanitary safety.

We begin the new academic year with the hope that the adopted solutions will prove to be temporary, and the growing number of vaccinated persons will enable a quick return to stationary classes.
