The agreement signed between the University of Gdańsk's Faculty of Philology and Brzeski County is aimed at mutual cooperation in the popularisation of education and support for initiatives to this end. It will also enable students to participate in selected classes conducted at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Gdańsk.

The agreement of intent was signed on August 18, 2022, at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Gdańsk. Brzeski County was represented by the Starost, Andrzej Potęga, Deputy Starost, Maciej Podobiński, Brzeski County Board Member, Jacek Frankowski, and Director of the Department of Education of the Brzeski County Starost Office, Janina Motak. On the UG side, the Vice-Dean for Education and Outreach of the Faculty of Philology of UG, dr hab. Joanna Jereczek-Lipińska, prof. UG, was present.

- 'As part of the agreement, the parties undertook to promote higher education offered by UG among students, to cooperate with UG on national and international educational projects organised by the schools, as well as to support initiatives aimed at popularising science and to enable school students to participate in selected activities, e.g.: lectures, discussion forums, seminars, workshops in stationary or online form,' - says dr hab. Joanna Jereczek-Lipińska, prof. UG.

An online meeting with heads of educational institutions is planned for September 2022 to present the Faculty of Philology and its educational offer to the district's youth.
