29 University of Gdańsk refugee students from Ukraine have received scholarships from the Foundation for the Development of the University of Gdańsk. The FRUG Scholarship Fund Council at its meeting on December 06, 2022, evaluated the submitted scholarship applications from the Scholarship Fund 'University of Gdańsk to help Ukraine!'.

As a result of the Council's recommendation, Marzena Chojnacka - President of the Management Board of the Foundation for the Development of the University of Gdańsk awarded scholarships to 29 students of the University of Gdańsk first-cycle, second-cycle and uniform master's studies who came to Poland due to the warfare in Ukraine.

The funds of the Scholarship Fund of the Foundation for the Development of the University of Gdańsk come from a public collection conducted through https://www.siepomaga.pl and from a donation made by Professor Wacław Szybalski Foundation.

The amount of a single scholarship is PLN 2,348.00.

Composition of the Scholarship Fund Council:

1. dr hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, prof. UG - Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education Quality UG;

2. prof. dr hab. Ewa Łojkowska - President of the Management Board of the Professor Wacław Szybalski Foundation;

3. Piotr Patalas - Representative of the University of Gdańsk Students' Parliament;

4. mgr inż. Agnieszka Wojtach - Vice President of the Management Board FRUG.
