A total of 780 points were added to the point value of periodicals run by researchers at the University of Gdansk. This year on July 17, the Ministry of Education and Science published a new list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences.

The highest score from MEiN, i.e. 200 points, was awarded to Current Issues in Personality Psychology, whose editor-in-chief is prof. dr hab. Beata Pastwa-Wojciechowska. A massive increase of 100 points (from 40 to 140 points) was recorded by Health Psychology Report, headed by prof. dr hab. Mariola Bidzan.

Both psychology quarterlies are also gaining recognition internationally. Health Psychology Report and Current Issues in Personality Psychology have an impact factor of 2.0 and 1.0, respectively. For this high impact factor, their editors were honoured by the UG Rector, prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski during the UG Senate meeting on July 6 this year.

As many as 21 UG scientific journals increased by 20 or 30 points. Financial Law Review and Gdańskie Studia Prawnicze reached the ceiling of 100 points. In total, UG periodicals received 780 points more than in the December 21, 2021 list.

It is worth recalling that points directly affect the evaluation of researchers and their universities. For each article published in a given periodical, the scientist and their unit receive a number of points in line with the value of the journal, which can often translate into financial gain or career success.
