The Between.Pomiędzy Research Workshop, under the direction of dr hab. Tomasz Wiśniewski, prof. UG from the Department of Performing Arts Research, Faculty of Philology, University of Gdańsk, invites you to the Polish premiere of the dance film Home, directed by American choreographer Sue Schroeder and filmmaker Adam Larsen, featuring dancers and performers from the USA, Colombia, Israel and France, as well as two Gdańsk-based artists: Katarzyna Pastuszak from the Department of Performing Arts Research, UG, and Natalia Chylińska.

The film's screening will take place on September 8, 2023, at 8 p.m. at the Forest Theatre in Gdańsk; it will be accompanied by a site-specific performance dialoguing with the themes of Home, with live performed music by Christian Meyer. The event takes place as part of the Between.Pomiędzy Dispersed Festival 2023, with the main partners being the Amareya Theatre and the Gdańsk Archipelago of Culture.

The film Home by Sue Schroeder and Adam Larsen is a poetic narrative about the experience of place – common to bodies-in-motion, human bodies and more-than-human bodies. The foundations of human existence – home, body, and nature – are knit together. The intertwining stories, memories, melodies and movements of the material world reveal the intertwined 'we'. Home grows out of the need to cultivate tenderness towards the earth in the process of healing human relationships with nature. The film was shot in 2022 in France and Poland.
