Training in security and dissemination of knowledge on tolerance – these are just some of the aspects of collaboration resulting from the agreement signed between the Voivodship Police Commander in Gdańsk and our University.
The ceremonial signing of the document took place within the UG walls on September 6, 2023. The Voivodeship Police Commander, Superintendent Andrzej Łapiński, and the Head of the Selection and Training Department of the Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, Sub-inspector Elżbieta Żelechowska attended the event. The University of Gdańsk was represented by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education Quality, dr hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, prof. UG, and the Director of the Centre for Courses and Training, dr Piotr Zieliński.
During the meeting, the Commandant expressed gratitude to the Rector UG prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski for the excellent cooperation with the Pomeranian police. The parties will cooperate in many areas, particularly in organising and conducting courses, training, scientific conferences and symposia, organising student internships and disseminating knowledge on safety and tolerance.
