This year's Gift is for Ms Stefania and her son. For years, she has sacrificed for her family, working really hard. Now, due to health problems, she needs our help!
Ms Stefania's husband was an alcoholic, which made their lives even harder. Nowadays, they live in a small apartment, and Ms Stefania has serious health issues that increase her spending on medicine.
The family's income is PLN 3415 - after covering the bills and healthcare, only PLN 814 per person is left.

The Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Gdansk will host a two-week Christmas Market (also open at weekends) from December 2 to 10 and December 6 and 13. You will be able to make beautiful gifts for your loved ones and, at the same time, support the initiative of local organisations that run occupational therapy workshops (including the 'Tratwa' association, which will be on Christmas duty on December 2-10).
In addition, the WNS will also be the venue for the University Christmas Party organised by the Student and Doctoral Activity Centre.
The Logistics Scientific Circle, operating at the UG Faculty of Economics, invites you to the Charity Cake and Smoke Meat Fair, which will take place on December 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Faculty of Economics (at the main entrance). Dear Readers! Each of you can become Father Christmas! On December 1 at the UG Main Library, a collection of items for the Father Eugeniusz Dutkiewicz SAC Hospice in Gdańsk begins.
The facility cares for the chronically ill as part of the home hospice for children and adults and in the inpatient ward. There are currently more than 1,000 people under the care of the hospice, including 40 of the youngest patients.
We strongly encourage you to support the wards of the facility. All you have to do is buy the product of your choice from the list of current needs, which is attached below:
Hospice needs:
- disposable sanitary pads 90x60 cm or 60x40 cm in size
- Wet wipes (preferably only with water)
- Cosmetics for allergy sufferers, dermo-cosmetics
- bed care products (washing sprays, no-rinse shampoos, lotions, etc.)
- massage creams with arnica
- waste bags 160, 120, 60, 35 litre
- cotton bath towels
- milk-free porridges (Bobovita)
- cordless kettles
- blood pressure monitors
- nappies and M/L nappies (with Velcro fastenings)
- household chemicals (liquids, cleaning lotions, liquid soap, body wash, toilet fluid, air freshener).
Items can be left at the Main Library in a marked area in the ground floor lobby and on the first floor. The collection will run until December 31.

The Academic Choir of the University of Gdansk is holding a fundraising event for families in need as part of the Noble Gift! You can still donate until December 15 to buy essential products. The three key needs of the family are:
- Food
- Cleaning products
- Clothing
The children do not have winter trousers and gloves. Receiving these would relieve the family budget and prevent possible illness. The children's mother has a worn-out winter jacket. The girl has outgrown her old winter boots.
