Minister for Civil Society, Chairwoman of the Committee for Public Benefit, President of the Regional Volunteer Centre in Gdańsk in 2015-19 and graduate of the Institute of Political Science at the University of Gdańsk Agnieszka Buczyńska will visit the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gdańsk.
The Minister will meet with the UG academic community on January 15 (Monday) at 11:30 a.m. in auditorium S208 of the Faculty of Social Sciences. A guest of the UG Institute of Political Science, she will deliver a lecture entitled 'Civil society - from participation to lawmaking'.
Agnieszka Buczyńska - Polish social activist, sociologist and politician, specialist in the field of civil society, second vice-president and secretary general of the Poland 2050 party. She graduated from the University of Gdańsk with a Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences. Vice-president of the Regional Volunteer Centre in Gdańsk in 2008-14 and president of the institution in 2015-19. In the parliamentary elections, she ran on the list of Poland 2050 and received more than 35,000 votes, i.e. more than 5.5 % of all votes cast in constituency No. 25. In December 2023, she took up the post of Minister for Civil Society in Donald Tusk's third government.
