A several-hour long marathon reading of the 'Divine Comedy' in the original

In the year celebrating the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri, on the occasion of Dantedì, the day on which, according to tradition, Dante's journey into the afterlife described in the 'Divine Comedy' began, the Italianists of the Postgraduate Italian Studies programme at the University of Gdańsk will take part in a marathon of several hours of a live reading of the Divine Comedy in the original medieval Italian.

On Thursday, March 25, 2021, from 4 p.m., representatives of the Postgraduate Italian Studies at the University of Gdańsk will take part, under the aegis of the Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, in a marathon of several hours of a live reading of the 'Divine Comedy' in Dante's medieval language. The event will be streamed from 4 p.m. on the Facebook page of the Italian Cultural Institute or by going to the link.

Italianists from the University of Gdańsk will take to the stage at around 5.50 pm.

You can also follow other events dedicated to the Florentine poet. On Thursday, 25.03 at 12.00 there will be the premiere of an online concert from the Italian UmbriaEnsemble, inspired by the theme of the Divine Comedy 'Amor che nella mente mi ragiona'.
