The Publishing House of the University of Gdańsk announces a competition for the best scientific book, didactic book and book presenting the results of doctoral thesis published by the Publishing House of the University of Gdańsk. The purpose of the competition is to select and award the best book in three categories: scientific book, didactic book and book presenting the results of a doctoral thesis.

The competition is aimed at authors whose publications were published by the University of Gdańsk Publishing House in 2020. The winners will be selected in three categories: scientific book, didactic book and book presenting the results of a doctoral thesis.

The main prize for the winners in each category is the right to publish another book in the Publishing House of the University of Gdańsk free of charge for 7 years after the completion of the competition. The 2nd and 3rd prize is the possibility for the winner to choose copies of the books published by the Publishing House for the amount of PLN 600 and PLN 300 respectively.

Applications may be sent by the end of April directly to the Publishing House or by e-mail: lukasz.gwizdala@ug.edu.pl. To take part in the competition, you need to fill in the application form and attach an external review or opinion on the book, written by an external specialist in the field (a person from outside the University of Gdańsk) which the work concerns (in the case of a foreign-language review written in a language other than English, additionally a translation into Polish).
