Online summer German courses

The Herder Centre of the University of Gdańsk and the Centre for German Language Culture and Books invite you to participate in the three-week summer German-language online course 'Die Sprache ist der Schlüssel zur Welt'. Registration for the courses lasts until July 2.

The summer courses are ideal for those who are very busy during the academic year or for those who want to practice their German skills.

- 'During the intensive summer classes, we will try to immerse you in the foreign language as deeply as possible. Depending on your level, we will improve your German skills accordingly through speaking, joint discussions, games and fun - of course in a fun way! We will also try to repeat some grammar and refresh lots of interesting vocabulary. Our teachers know how to make the most of technology in teaching and already have a lot of experience in it,' - say the organisers of the course.

Course description: the teachers use the zoom.us e-learning platform. Course participants receive an email invitation from the teacher to closed meetings. The zoom platform offers the possibility of working as a whole group learning together, as well as splitting into pairs or groups to perform selected tasks. The use of zoom.us by course participants is completely free of charge. The online courses make use of a wide range of interesting materials prepared by the teachers, such as quizzes, listening materials, texts, grammar exercises, pictures, videos and presentations.
