EUROPEJSKI DZIEŃ LOGOPEDY

The celebration of the European Day of the Speech Therapist will take place on March 3, 2022, at the Institute of Speech Therapy of the University of Gdańsk. The programme includes online speeches.

A speech therapist is a specialist who deals with the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of speech, hearing and voice disorders in children, adolescents and adults. He deals with the diagnosis and therapy of speech disorders, the most commonly perceived ones called speech defects, e.g. incorrect articulation of r, but he also deals with the diagnosis and therapy of communication disorders, e.g. lack of speech development, SLI, stuttering, hearing impairment, aphasia, dysarthria, etc.

He works in educational institutions (kindergartens, primary and secondary schools) and out-patient health care institutions (speech therapy clinics, audiological, phoniatric, otolaryngological clinics), social welfare homes, radio and TV stations, cultural and other institutions employing people who use the voice professionally and in private practice.

On the occasion of the Speech Therapist's Day, the Institute of Logopaedics of the University of Gdańsk invites you to take part in lectures dedicated to this subject on March 3. - 'As part of the meeting from 14.00 to 17.00, we organize scientific webinars.
