On the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day, Fahrenheit Universities Technology Transfer Centres (FarU): Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology and University of Gdańsk, invite you to the webinar 'Dilemmas of the patenting process', devoted to the protection of intellectual property.
The webinar will take place online, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The meeting is intended for students, researchers, PhD students and anyone interested in the topic of IP protection.

11:05-11:25 - 'Between inspiration and plagiarism - the limits of copyright' - dr hab. Maciej Barczewski, prof. UG
Basic premises of the subject matter of copyright will be discussed, as well as the issue of borders between unauthorised copying of a part or the whole of somebody else's work (plagiarism) and the allowed inspiration from another work.
11:25-11:40 - 'Patenting science - good practices of cooperation with a patent attorney', Iwona Płodzich-Hennig, partner in JWP Patent Attorneys Dorota Rzążewska sp.k.
Discussed issues: invention and scientific work, what a patent description consists of, 'recipe' for a patent, i.e. practical aspects of working with a patent attorney.
