After six months of activity, vocalists from the Vocal Studio UG will perform in the concert hall of the Frederic Chopin Baltic Philharmonic. On June 20, they will perform songs by a multiple Grammy award winner Adele. This time they will be joined on stage by Marta Burdynowicz, winner of the 12th edition of The Voice of Poland.

The Vocal Studio was established at the beginning of the winter semester of 2021/2022 thanks to the efforts of the Academic Cultural Centre 'Alternator'. Their first project was a concert of Christmas songs 'Just like snow' combined with the premiere of the music video of the title song by Kuba Badach and Janusz Onufrowicz.

The next project of the young group of vocalists was Adele Songbook. As a part of the first major project, the students of the University of Gdańsk sang arrangements of the greatest hits from the repertoire of the British singer, including 'Someone like you', 'Rolling in the deep' and 'Rumour has it'. They were also accompanied on stage by a four-piece band. Adele's Songbook premiered on March 21, as part of the celebrations of the University of Gdańsk and was enthusiastically received. Therefore, it was decided to repeat the concert.

Adele's hits performed by the University's Vocal Studio will be heard again on June 20, in the concert hall of the Frederic Chopin Polish Baltic Philharmonic. Marta Burdynowicz, who won The Voice of Poland programme in 2021, will sing as a guest vocalist with the young singers.

For those undecided, Vocal Studio UG has prepared a recording of a joint performance of 'Water Under the Bridge' from the first Adele Songbook concert. Ticket information can be found here and a video preview of the event here.
