Erasmus+ Programme budget not only for students and universities. Opening of the InnHUB
To promote the possibility of using the programme among the residents of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps, together with the University of Gdańsk, is creating the Erasmus+ InnHUB Centre of Innovation of the Erasmus+ Programme, which will be open to all those interested from September 8, this year.
- 'We want to promote and disseminate innovative educational projects in our region and expand the network of cooperation, also based on international partnerships. Therefore, one of the aims of the Erasmus+ InnHUB is to create a space where students, employees and entrepreneurs can jointly search for groundbreaking business ideas,' - says prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski, Rector of the University of Gdańsk. - 'In this way, we are also fulfilling further tasks set by the European Universities programme, in which we are active in implementing practical teaching innovations, effective knowledge transfer and promoting the idea of sustainable development.'
The headquarters of the InnHUB will be the University of Gdańsk Library, located at ul. Wita Stwosza 53 in Gdańsk. The centre will act not only as an information point but also as a venue for workshops and training courses. Information about the centre's opening hours is available at: www.erasmusplus.org.pl/erasmus-innhub.
InnHUB is intended to be an open meeting place, a centre for the promotion of innovation, where people can come for support, both substantive and financial.
- 'Particularly important is the fact that not only schools, universities and vocational training centres, but also companies, educational institutions such as kindergartens or schools, foundations, associations, sports clubs, as well as local government institutions can benefit from the Erasmus+ programme. Great opportunities are also offered by the European Solidarity Corps, the 'little brother of the Erasmus+ Programme', which funds international volunteering and local solidarity projects,' - says dr Paweł Poszytek, director of the National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps. 'People of all ages can benefit from the programme's funding for, among other things, international exchanges, the financing of educational projects and vocational training. The budget that the European Commission has allocated for 2021-2027 is more than €28 billion.'
