The University of Gdańsk Library has prepared a new service called 'Ordering Books to Faculties'. It is aimed at the academic staff of the University of Gdańsk who have an active library account, unencumbered by overdue items.

Under this service, books can be ordered from the book collection available for lending from both the Main Library and specialist libraries (except for the Oceanographic Reading Room in Gdynia).

Ordered books can be collected from the UG Library of your choice, however, no sooner than the day after placing the order. The exceptions will be orders for books from the Economic Library in Sopot and the Cultural History Library in Gdańsk, which will be fulfilled twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.

Detailed information:

1. The service 'Order a book to faculties' can be used by any academic employee who has an active library account with no overdue obligations to the Library.
2. The order should be sent to: zamowksiazke@ug.edu.pl.
3. In the email, please indicate the name of the orderer, the library card number, the title and author, and the reference number of the book to be ordered. You should also indicate the library where you want to collect the ordered items.
4. Only books available for loan from the Main Library and specialist libraries can be ordered, except for the Oceanographic Reading Room in Gdynia.
5. Once the order has been completed, the books will be lent to the ordering party's library account, and the reader will receive information about the possibility of collecting them from the UG Library of their choice.
6. Books will be ready for collection no earlier than the day after the order is placed.
7. Books ordered to and from the Economics and Cultural History Libraries will be delivered twice a week (Monday and Thursday). They will be available for collection after 2 pm.
8. Ordered books can be returned to any UG Library.
