- 'There are people in the world who are searching for a common definition of Balticness and those who are building it with their daily activities. There are many of us, so different from each other, but united in the search for answers to the questions of how, when and why the Baltic Sea and its region became the starting point for building a narrative of Balticness,' - with these words begins a new film summarising the visit of foreign students to the University of Gdańsk as part of the YoPeNET project.
The initiative aims to engage the younger generation in a conversation about Balticness as a transregional identity. The project's creators organise summer schools, during which specialists from the Baltic countries tell participants about the history and culture of the region. One such meeting is captured in the video below. See what the visit to the UG was like!
