Now you can borrow not only books from the University of Gdańsk Library (BUG). Employees, students and doctoral students can borrow e-book readers, choosing from twenty Kindle Paperwhite devices and twenty Kindle Oasis devices.

Lending e-book readers is one of the new services offered to readers by the University of Gdańsk Library.

- This idea was inspired by the growing popularity of e-books. Experiences of other libraries were also not without significance, as they have been offering such service to their readers for some time now. We started from making 40 e-book readers available. First devices have already been borrowed, the rest remain available. For now we have accepted to only share e-readers without the contents – says Roman Tabisz, BUG Deputy Head.

All you have to do to book an e-reader is to send an order via email to wypozyczalnia@ug.edu.pl. Library employees will prepare it before lending and inform a reader (via email), what day and time they should pick it up from the Main Library.

A reader may be borrowed for a month, with the option of five extensions.
