Tutoring for University of Gdańsk students

UG students with extraordinary achievements, from the below listed faculties, may apply to the program. Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Modern Languages, Social Sciences, Oceanography and Geography, Law and Administration.

University of Gdańsk welcomes prospective participants of the “Mistrzowie dydaktyki - wdrożenie modelu tutoringu do praktyki uczelnianej" (Masters of teaching and learning – introducing tutoring model into academic practice) Project. Within the scope of the project, the outstanding freshmen and sophomore students will be awarded tutoring support. Classes will last for two academic years and will be held in a form of individual meetings.

Tutoring is a unique teaching and learning method, thanks to its personalized approach it helps students find their personal and scientific development path. Students in scope of the individual tutoring will receive personal development support, among other things, in learning their individual aptitudes and talents, in subjects they feel confident with, receiving guidelines to optimally use and develop them.

UG students with extraordinary achievements may apply to the program, provided academic teachers from their faculties enrolled to the project (Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Modern Languages, Social Sciences, Oceanography and Geography, Law and Administration)

To qualify to the program, students must meet the following criteria:

Grade average in 2019/2020 academic year that meets the requirements for Rector’s scholarship recipients (if your grade average has not been calculated before, request it from a  Dean’s office),

Member of student research group  and/ or other similar organizations,

Other academic achievements.

In order to apply to the project, please send the completed application form via e-mail (provided at the bottom of the page) to the UG Education Quality Office’s address: bjk@ug.edu.pl. The applications submission deadline is 20 November 2020 at 3:00 p.m..

The ‘Masters of teaching and learning’ Project is carried out by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and co-financed form the Knowledge Education Development Operational Program.
