UG Rector prof. Piotr Stepnowski represented CRASP in Istanbul during meetings accompanying the IEFT education fair organised by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation. It was an opportunity to talk to the Rector of Koç University about strengthening research cooperation and the first-ever Polish-Turkish Rectors' Forum, which will be held soon in Istanbul. The next one will be hosted by the University of Gdańsk.

On the initiative of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, the first Polish-Turkish Rectors' Forum will be held in autumn. Students from this country already constitute the third largest group of international students in Poland. The fact that there will be more students in Poland is affirmed by the well-attended Study in Poland stands at the IEFT education fair in Istanbul, and earlier in Ankara and Izmir.

During his visit to Istanbul, prof. Piotr Stepnowski, representing CRASP, met, among others, with the Rector of Koç University, prof. Metin Sitti, to discuss the first Polish-Turkish Rectors' Forum. ‘These two days of intensive work will bring a lot of good to Polish and Turkish universities! We are betting on internationalisation and I am already looking forward to the Rectors' Forum at UG in 2025,’ said UG Rector prof. Piotr Stepnowski.

The first Forum will be held this autumn in Istanbul at Koç University represented by its Rector prof. Metin Sitti. In 2025, the University of Gdańsk will act as a host. The event aims to strengthen research cooperation between Poland and Turkey.
