Agata Palka won the gold medal in the general classification of the Polish Academic Judo Championships! The competitor in the up to 70 kg category was unrivalled, winning all her fights, thanks to which two gold medals hung around her neck - for the general classification and the university classification.

Individual success was also enjoyed by Marcin Kotlik, who finished the tournament in a high 5th place in the general classification in the weight category up to 66 kg, which gave him a silver medal in the university category.

Under the watchful eye of the coaching duo of Bożena Hincy and Marek Bobkiewicz, our judo section won the bronze medal in the universities' classification. The representatives of AZS UG will definitely count their starts as successful, as the level of the competition was very high and nearly 300 competitors took part (including 94 ladies).

In the general classification, the University of Gdańsk took 10th place out of 61 competing universities from all over Poland (36 universities could be classified as a team).

The Polish Academic Judo Championships were held on 7 April at the sports and entertainment hall of the Academy of Physical Education and Sports in Gdańsk.
