Dr Krzysztof Czubfrom the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration represented UG at the conference GdyniaI-Days. Academic Gdynia Innovation Days, which took place on March 25-26 this year at the Maritime University in Gdynia. The event was aimed at promoting the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property. Dr Krzysztof Czub discussed, among other issues, the participation of artificial intelligence in the development of inventions and its legal consequences.

The event was organised by the Technology Transfer Office of the Maritime University in Gdynia. The conference was attended by experts from various backgrounds, including a representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Vice-President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, representatives of local authorities, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Director of the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia, scientists and entrepreneurs.

Dr Krzysztof Czub took part in an expert panel entitled Direction - protected inventions, in which experts, including the Vice-President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, discussed the protection of inventions and the role of professional attorneys, including patent attorneys, in the process of commercialisation of intellectual property at universities. Dr Krzysztof Czub discussed, among other things, the issue of the involvement of artificial intelligence in the development of inventions and its legal consequences.
