Students of the University of Gdańsk were among those awarded the scholarship of the Minister of Education and Science for significant scientific, artistic or sporting achievements for the academic year 2020/2021.
By October 25, 2020, rectors of universities presented the Minister with 890 applications for scholarships for significant scientific, artistic or sporting achievements for the academic year 2020/2021.
The applications were considered in accordance with the procedure set out in:
- art. 359 ustawy – Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym i nauce,
- rozporządzeniu Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego z dnia 1 kwietnia 2019 r. w sprawie stypendiów ministra właściwego do spraw szkolnictwa wyższego i nauki dla studentów i wybitnych młodych naukowców (Dz. U. poz. 658 i 2297).
An Advisory Team for the evaluation of applications for granting scholarships by the minister responsible for higher education and science for students and outstanding young scientists was appointed to review the content of the applications, consisting of experts representing various fields of science and art. Members of the Team were selected from among candidates submitted by the General Council of Science and Higher Education, Committee for Scientific Policy, Commission for the Evaluation of Science, Council of Young Scientists and the Academy of Young Scientists. The applications were evaluated by the Team with the use of the scoring method, within particular fields of science and arts.
On February 19, 2021. - out of 861 applications meeting the conditions for receiving the scholarship - the Minister of Education and Science selected a group of 362 students who were awarded the scholarship. Among the awarded are also students of the University of Gdańsk:
1. Stanisław Konrad Czerwiński - 5th year of long-cycle studies in Psychology
2. Wiktoria Gołębiowska - 2nd year of long-cycle studies/psychology
3. Weronika Maria Mytlewska - 4th year of long-cycle studies/psychology
4. Aleksandra Uzarska - 4th year of long-cycle studies/psychology
5. Zuzanna Marta Szczudło - 2nd year of the second-cycle studies/biology
6. Adrianna Cyraniak - 2nd year of the second-cycle studies/chemistry
7. Dominika Maja Zych-Gibaszek - 2nd year of the second-cycle studies/chemistry
