The media reported that the University of Gdańsk, together with the Gdańsk University of Technology, was among 17 Polish universities listed in the QS World ranking. The media say that the ranking has been published recently. There is some truth and - unfortunately - also a mistake in it.

True - because in the overall QS World ranking the University of Gdańsk was indeed listed along with 15 other Polish universities, as we reported after the results were announced in June 2020.

However, the error is due to the fact that the ranking published at the beginning of March is strictly about disciplines - it is the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021. 17 Polish universities are listed in it - some of them are universities qualified in the general ranking, some are outside this group. Unfortunately, the University of Gdańsk is not included. From the Fahrenheit Association Universities, the Gdańsk University of Technology is listed in this ranking, specifically in the chemistry discipline.

So we are waiting for the general ranking.
