Our historian in Würzburg

A scholarship funded by the Bavarian State Chancellery for a research stay in Würzburg was awarded to dr Karol Kłodziński from the Faculty of History UG.

Dr Karol Kłodziński took part in the competition for the Polish Historical Mission scholarship funded by the Bavarian State Chancellery. The scholarship will be used for a research stay in 2021 in a project entitled Otto Hirschfeld (1843-1922) as a researcher of Roman administration. The reception and significance of the works of Theodor Mommsen's successor.

- 'Within the framework of the scholarship, I will carry out a project on the history of research into antiquity, and specifically, Roman administration, which is of particular interest to me,' informs dr Karol Kłodziński from the Historical Faculty of UG. - 'It will allow me to conduct library searches in the excellently equipped libraries of Julius and Maximilian University in Würzburg,' he adds.

Dr Karol Klodziński from the UG Institute of History was recently elected a member - specialist of the Committee for the Study of Ancient Culture of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the term 2021-2024.
