Kamila Stormowska, a student at the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk won the bronze medal in the short track Speed Skating World Cup. This is her greatest accomplishment so far. The 19-year-old outfought her idol - a multiple medalist and former world record holder Brit Elise Christie.

Kamila, whose home club is GKS Stoczniowiec, was awarded in the 500-meter short track competition. She is the first athlete in the club to reach the World Cup finals and the first speed skater in the history of GKS Stoczniowiec to win a medal in the Cup. At the same time, she is the second Polish short track skater with a medal in World Cup competitions. Natalia Maliszewska won her a bronze medal back in November 2019.

Kamila Stormowska is a multiple medalist of the Polish championships. She won gold in the 1000m race and silver in the mixed relay in the 2017 Winter Olympic Youth Festival in Europe in Erzurum. In the same year, she was nominated for the Piotr Nurowski award for the best young athlete in Europe, awarded by the European Olympic Committee. She made her debut in the World Cup in autumn 2015. This year, she will take part in the World Championships for the first time. The competition is going to take place in March in Seoul. Her dream is an Olympic medal. The next Olympic Games are going to be held in 2022 in Beijing.

Stormowska is ranked 14th and Maliszewska holds the 6th place in the final World Cup 500 meter classification.

Natalia Maliszewska won bronze in the 1000m race. This is her first medal for this distance. She is a gold and bronze medalist of the European Championships and a runner up to the 500m World Champion.
