The Department of Environmental Technology was established in December 2013. There are three research groups - Photocatalysis Group, Catalytic Processes Group and Biochemical Analytics and Nano-diagnostics Group. The scientific and didactic work of the Department is directed by prof. dr hab. inż. Adriana Zaleska-Medynska. Scientific activities of the Chair of Environmental Technology result in articles published in JCR journals, books and patents concerning new functional materials or markers used in diagnostics of inflammatory conditions and tumours. Scientific work and research and development are carried out thanks to grants obtained, among others, from the Scientific Centre for Science, the Centre for Research and Development, or the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
