The biotechnology programme offered by the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of UG and GUMed received the highest rating from the Polish Accreditation Committee. Accreditation was granted for the longest possible period of five years.

The Polish Accreditation Committee recognized numerous good practices in undergraduate and graduate programmes in biotechnology offered by the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of UG and GUMed. One of the fortes is the tight connection of the education process with research interests pursued by the academic staff. Another noteworthy aspect is the innovative curriculum of the first degree of studies based on thematic modules (concept-based learning), highly valued by the Committee.

The Committee concluded that the quality of education in the Biotechnology programme conducted at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk was very high and stood out on a national scale.

The resolution of the Committee contains full justification for the assessment of compliance with each evaluation criterion.
