On September 8-9, 2022, the rectoral authorities of the University of Gdańsk visited the SEA-EU partner university in Cadiz. The occasion for the visit was a meeting of the SEA-EU consortium's Advisory Board and a bilateral meeting between the authorities of the two universities.
During the meeting of the Advisory Board, the most important joint scientific, sporting and cultural initiatives that allowed increasing and intensifying international cooperation during the first edition of the project were summarised. One of the most important topics was also the discussion of the strategy for the continuation of the project, which will be extended to include three new universities: the University of Algarve (Portugal), the University of Parthenope in Naples (Italy) and Nord University (Norway).
On the second day, authorities from the University of Gdańsk and the University of Cadiz met to consult on project management, university structure and SEA-EU teams. Among the most widely discussed topics were the university's internationalisation and digitisation policies.
The University of Gdańsk was represented by the Rector of the UG, prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, dr hab. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, prof. UG, the Vice-Rector for Research, prof. dr hab. Wiesław Laskowski, the Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development, dr hab. Sylwia Mrozowska, prof. UG, and the Vice-Rector for Students and Educational Quality, dr hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, prof. UG.
