Wampiriada at the UG campus

Universities from all over Poland are taking part in the campaign.

'By spending around 15-20 minutes, we can save someone's health or even life!' - says Przemysław Sadowski, Vice President for Finance of the Independent Students' Union. From October 19 to 21, 2022, there will be a so-called 'blood bus' at the UG campus as part of the initiative of the NZS and the Regional Centre for Blood Donation and Haemotherapy in Gdańsk.

Wampiriada started in 2000 at the Cracow University of Technology. Currently, the campaign is organised in all major academic centres in Poland, usually twice a year.

The autumn edition of Wampiriada at the University of Gdańsk will take place between October 19 and 21. Each day, the 'blood bus' will visit a different location in the UG space. On the first day it will be the Faculty of Economics, then the Faculty of Biology and finally the Faculty of Social Sciences. During the campaign, blood can be donated between 9 am and 2 pm.

Super goodies, vouchers from this year's partners, a sweet package of chocolates and a two-day medical exemption await those who donate blood. It is worth remembering that a heavy breakfast should not be eaten on the day of the blood donation. Sick people or those who have recently come into contact with a sick person should not take part. An ID is required.
