Recruitment for the UG Visiting Professors Programme - 4th edition

On October 16, the recruitment process for the fourth edition of the UG Visiting Professors Programme began. The main objective of the programme is to internationalise scientific research and teaching activities conducted at the University of Gdańsk.

Within the programme, it is possible to obtain funding for visits of outstanding scientists from abroad. The winner of the programme receives reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs and remuneration for conducting research and/or teaching activities. To enter the competition, the visit supervisor (an employee of UG) must submit an application.

The main competition criteria include, in particular, the researcher's reputation, the prestige of the researcher’s home institution, the interdisciplinary research topic, the scope of the planned research and teaching activities, and the strengthening of existing cooperation and opportunities for its further development.

Previous iterations of the programme have met with great interest among scientists at the University of Gdansk and their guests. A total of 29 researchers from such countries as Hungary, Israel, France, Singapore, Germany, Italy, USA, Malta, Lebanon, and the UK have received funding so far.
