Internationalisation, mobility and effective communication were the themes of the last days of October at NORD University in Norway. Two events took place at the SEA-EU alliance partner university: International Week and a meeting of SEA-EU promotion experts. The former concerned the development of international activities in academic centres, and the latter the preparation of the new SEA-EU alliance website.

The University of Gdańsk was represented at the Norwegian university by the SEA-EU Office Manager Natalia Lubińska, Magdalena Dziki from the Foreign Professors Service Section, Joanna Zakrzewska from the Foreign Students Service Section and Marcel Jakubowski from the UG Press Office. The meetings were attended by representatives of all SEA-EU partner universities.

Discussions on the project's dissemination strategy were led by Irene de Andrés Márquez. The SEA-EU communications manager presented the first version of the new alliance website. The assembled promotion experts, members of SEA-EU offices and team members of other project work packages discussed the target user group of the website, the user-friendliness of the portal and the social media promotion campaign.

At the same time, International Week participants discussed internationalisation when conducting research or foreign exchange for doctoral students. Speakers talked about the many opportunities to go abroad and establish international cooperation, such as the Fulbright grant or the Erasmus+ BIP. There were also discussions on raising the level of internationalisation and potential obstacles to achieving this goal.

One of the highlights of International Week was a panel in which representatives from nine SEA-EU universities encouraged international exchange for NORD University students. Each representative talked about their university's English-language offerings and the region's advantages. The meeting also promoted SEA-EU alliance initiatives, which will be featured on the new website.

The intensive week ended with a music, dance and fashion show at the Glasshuset Shopping Centre. Participants at both events also had the opportunity to see Saltstraumen, home to one of the strongest tidal currents in the world.
