Which studies should I choose? Where would I like to work in the future? What field of study matches my passions? Thanks to the UG Open Days, answering these questions becomes easier! On March 12 and 13, secondary school students can check what it means to be a student at the University of Gdańsk.

UG Open Days featured 75 stands spread over three levels of the Faculty of Social Sciences, nearly 30 lectures, hundreds of students, and thousands of conversations about the future. Participants were able to see our university both as a place to learn and acquire skills and to pursue their passions.

All faculties of the University of Gdańsk presented their offers. High schoolers were able to talk not only to lecturers and university staff but also to students in the fields of study that interested them. In addition, members of scientific circles and various units of the university presented them with various extra-curricular activities.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about university life, for example by attending one of the nearly 30 lectures held in the halls of the WNS. Experts from the University of Gdańsk talked about, among other things, why Chat GPT cannot count, how our brain makes decisions and what the labour market looks like in the age of artificial intelligence.

The Open Days are not limited to the Faculty of Social Sciences building. The Faculties of Chemistry, Languages, and History, as well as the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG also hosted lectures, demonstrations and field games.

The exciting meetings, artistic performances and inspiring lectures will continue tomorrow (March 13) at the WNS!
