The course ‘Polska po polsku’ is an invitation to Gdańsk - the city of freedom. Students will learn what Gdańsk is famous for, where Lech Wałęsa - the legendary leader of the Solidarity movement, President of the Republic of Poland and Nobel Peace Prize winner - lived, and will follow in his footsteps. During the classes, we will count how many goals Robert Lewandowski has scored and how many matches Iga Świątek has won. The tutor will also talk about the specialities of Polish cuisine.
During the classes, students will learn how to introduce themselves, talk about what they do and what their interests and hobbies are. They will also learn how to plan a trip, how to get to Gdańsk from, for example Cadiz or Split. They will be able to place an order in a Polish café or restaurant and express their preferences in terms of flavours and dishes. Each class will include elements of Polish culture.
