The Beatrix Galindo Co-Funding Programme

University of Cadiz will make a selection among the expression of interest under The Beatrix Galindo Co-Funding Programme, a national call depending on The Secretariat of State for Universities, Research, Development and Innovation which aims to promote the internationalisation and specialisation of Universities as a mean to improve and strengthen them, facilitating their quality and their ability to compete, as well as fostering the attraction and recovery of talents and resources. 

 

This is a highly competitive call which grants a maximum of 40 temporary staff posts for senior researchers and 60 for juniors for the whole Spanish territory, which is why, for the Universities benefiting from this programme is a great distinction. 

 

BEATRIX GALINDO CALL 2020 SUMMARY

 

Beneficiaries: Public Universities

 

The objectives of this call are:

1.     The attraction of international research talent who have developed their career partly overseas.

2.     Public universities will be funded in one of the two programmes, senior or junior, as specified by resolution 20th December 2019, art. 9, by means of which, this co-funding programme has been published.

Number of posts and amount of the financial aid

Beatrix Galindo Programme will grant a total of 100 financial aids for the attraction of research talent with proven international experience (overseas careers). This financial aid will be distributed according to art. 1 of the present call as follows:

Beatrix Galindo funds will be granted to public universities under one of the two modalities established:

  1. Beatrix Galindo Senior: A threshold of 80 out 100 will be required in the first evaluation of the University. The PhD must have a minimum proven experience of 7 years overseas in teaching and researching since gaining their doctoral degree.

 

  1. Beatrix Galindo Junior:  A threshold of 70 out 100 will be required in the first evaluation of the University. The PhD must have a maximum proven experience of 7 years overseas since gaining their doctoral degree.

 

3. The Secretariat of State for Universities, Research, Development and Innovation will grant no more than 60 posts for Junior PhDs and 40 posts for Seniors.
