The results of the 4th edition of polish-chinese economic cooperation theses competition

Three best authors were awarded for this year theses competition, organized for the fourth time by the Polish Chinese Business Council. The winners from the universities in Gdańsk and Warsaw, received valuable prizes: full year, paid internship at the Chinese university of choice and tablets.

During the New Year Meeting of the Polish Chinese Business Council members and partners, on 27 February 2020, at the Warsaw Old Town, in the Raczyński Palace ball room, where the Central Archive of Historic Records is seated, the results of the fourth edition of theses competition, regarding the modern economic cooperation between the Republic of Poland and the People’s Republic of China, were announced.

Polish Chinese Business Council, together with the Polish branch of HSBC France and Hajtong Bank organizes the competition. The competition is conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Development, Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Poland.

This year award ceremony was co-organized by the Chopin Point Warsaw.

The submitted masters and bachelors theses, coming from academic centers in Gdańsk, Toruń, Poznań, Katowice, Cracow and Warsaw were of the highest substantive level, declared the competition jury.

 

1st Place

Magdalena Orłowska from the University of Gdańsk Faculty of Economics for master’s thesis, “The influence of business etiquette on the development of Polish- Chinese economic cooperation. Comparative analysis of Polish and Chinese business etiquettes” prepared at the University of Gdańsk, under supervision of Sylwia Pangsy-Kania, Associate Professor.

The in-kind prize was presented by Michał Mrożek, the President of the Management Board , HSBC France (joint stock company) Polish Branch.
