SEA-EU Talent Webinar: Blue Growth

How to develop the maritime sectors in a sustainable way? On Friday, July 28, at 2 p.m., dr hab. Wojciech Pokora, prof. UG and dr Trinetra Mukherjee from the University of West Brittany will talk about Blue Growth. The speakers will present their ongoing projects as part of the SEA-EU Talent webinar series. The meeting is a great opportunity to share experiences and establish new scientific and research relationships.

The SEA-EU Talent initiative aims to promote young researchers from the alliance's partner universities who are carrying out interesting and important scientific activities. In previous editions, dr Agnieszka Szmelter-Jarosz from the University of Gdansk talked about micromobility, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on wellbeing were presented by dr Marie Briguglio from the University of Malta.

 On Friday, July 28, two presentations will be given:

  • ‘Hydrogen peroxide as a tool for green algae growth regulation: how does it work?’ by prof. Wojciech Pokora from the Interuniversity Faculty of Biotechnology UG and GUMed
  • ‘Piezophile adaptation to amino-acid deficiency at high hydrostatic pressure (HPP) conditions’ by dr Trinetra Mukherjee, University of West Brittany
