Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel, in cooperation with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme, is looking for young, talented researchers for post-doc positions. KiTE - Kiel Training for Excellence - is an excellence and development programme for researchers from all over the world interested in conducting independent, interdisciplinary research.
The university accepts projects linked to one of the four priority research areas at Kiel University:
- Kiel Life Science (KLS),
- Kiel Marine Science (KMS),
- Kiel Nano, Surface and Interface Science (KiNSIS),
- Societal, Environmental and Cultural Change (SECC).
The initiative is recruiting for seven post-doc positions. A 36-month full-time contract is offered, with insurance and a monthly research allowance of €500 for the research project. The annual salary, including mandatory contributions and taxes, will range from €67,000 to €75,000.
Applicants can be researchers with a PhD of any nationality who have no more than four years of research experience since completing their PhD and meet the MSCA mobility rule.
Timetable:
March 31, 2024 - end of registration deadline
April - June 2024 - evaluation of written applications
July 2024 - interviews & presentations of original projects
July - August 2024 - award decision
September - November 2024 - the start of grantees' projects
