The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will soon be playing for the 33rd time, and we as an academic community can make our contribution to make this world a better place for the fifth time. This year's edition is being held under the slogan ‘We Are Playing for Children's Oncology and Haematology’.
According to the GOCC: ‘Cancer is the second most common cause of death among children in Poland, after accidents. Annually, about 1,100 children develop cancer, of which 3,000 remain under intensive treatment. With the development of oncology, the cure rate has risen to over 80%, putting Poland on a par with Western European countries or the United States.
However, the treatment of childhood cancer requires enormous equipment and diagnostic resources. Thanks to the funds collected during the 33rd GOCC Finale, it will be possible to retrofit medical facilities, which will enable more effective and faster treatment of children fighting cancer. The Foundation also supports the treatment of non-oncological haematological disorders, which are among the most common chronic diseases among children.’
How CAN WE support the GOCC?
We invite the entire UG community to put up auction items to become part of the larger collection. Our joint involvement can take many forms - from donating unique items, e.g. handicrafts, to organising workshops, individual lessons or tours of our units, to proposing joint leisure activities or offering various services. We are open to ideas and suggestions!
The addressees of the offers can be male and female employees of the UG, male and female students or local companies that could be interested in expert workshops.

I have an idea for an auction, how can I submit it?
Due to the growing interest in the GOCC action at the UG, the form of submissions is changing.
If you have an idea for an auction, please submit it using the special form, which can be found at the following link:

The final decision on the number and type of auctions to be staged on behalf of UG will be made by the Communication and Promotion Centre.

Promotion of auctions
Promotion of each auction is the responsibility of the auctioneer - you can count on the support of the promotion coordinators of the respective faculties and units of the UG.
The Communication and Promotion Centre (CPC) will take care of the promotion of the action as a whole.
